something done for fun, especially mischievous

an amusing adventure or escape

Best I can remember, my first attempt at creativity was sewing a pocketed apron that won a 4H prize when I was in fourth grade. I’ve fallen head over heels for fun and creative challenges ever since. Needlework, art, jewelry making, graphic and interior design, cooking…the list goes on and on.

When we began having trouble sourcing candles at PaperSmith, it only seemed natural to try my hand at chandlery, the art of candle making. After all, that’s what got me started in business, creating my own invitations when I was unable to find what I was looking for 16 years ago.

It also helped that it was a way for me to use some of the printed papers I had on hand from my monoprinting hobby, so Lark Candle Company began. It’s the perfect combination of so many of my interests, and I hope you enjoy burning them as much as I enjoy making them!
